Colleen Clegg is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and director whose career has stretched from New York to Texas, to Tennessee to Alaska and back home to Colorado.

Colleen earned a Master’s Degree in Dance at the University of Houston at Clear Lake, studied under Murray Louis in New York City, choreographed the independent play Deadline in Nashville, Tennessee, and served as Assistant Artistic Director of Studio North Dance Ensemble in Fairbanks, Alaska, as well as for Tour de Force, Miller’s Dance performing group, Aurora, Colorado.

A Certified Dance Educator who has taken master classes with Gus Giordano, Colleen has taught everything from beginning tap and creative dance for children, to all levels of ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, tap and hip hop. In 1997 her dream of owning her own dance studio came true with the opening of the Colorado Centre of Dance. Now she is director of her own performing group En L’air Dance Ensemble.

Colleen has taught college level dance at Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as aerobics and gymnastics at Austin Peay State University. Currently, she is part-time staff at Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado, teaching dance. Colleen has studied with Cleo Parker-Robinson in Denver and conducted hip hop workshops for Creative Expressions, a program encouraging drug free activities, as well as teaching for the Cherry Creek school district’s Challenge Time program.
